Applications are open for Global Korea Scholarship GKS 2024 for graduate studies. Required Documents:

Following documents are required for The Global Korea Scholarship.

1. Completed application form
2. A personal statement (study plan) outlining the applicant’s academic goals and career aspirations
3. A letter of recommendation from professors or academic advisors
4. Personal Medical assessment.
5. Official transcripts from all previous academic institutions attended
6. A copy of the applicant’s passport

Note: Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or TOEIC scores) or Korean Language Proficiency is not mandatory. If student have this document, they must submit it.

How to apply for The Global Korea Scholarship 2024? There are two tracks of application for GKS Scholarship

1) Embassy Track

Embassy Track Application form for Global Korea Scholarship GKS is available at Korean Embassy website. Student must download the application form and submit completely filled application along with all documents to the embassy. Applicant can select three universities for admission in his application. The embassy will shortlist the students and then NIIED will do final selection and screening of applicants.

 2) University Track

University track application details for Global Korea Scholarship GKS are available at every university website. Applicant must submit application to university and University will shortlist the candidates. For University track applicant can select one university. Then NIIED will do final selection and screening of applicants.

Scholarship Benefits:

The Global Korea Scholarship GKS or KGSP scholarship benefits include

• Exemption from Tuition fees
• A monthly living allowance of 1 million KRW for MPhil/PhD and 1.5 million KRW for Research
• A round-trip airfare
• The medical insurance
• A settlement allowance of 200,000 KRW once.

Duration of GKS Scholarship

The Global Korea Scholarship GKS will cover expenses for following duration

• Master’s Degree Program MS/MPhil: 1 Years language Program + 2 years
• Doctoral Degree Program: 1 Years language Program + 3 years
• Research Program: 6 months or 1 Year

Eligibility Criteria for the Global Korea Scholarship for Graduate Degrees

The eligibility criteria for the Global Korea Scholarship 2024 for Graduate Degrees is given below

• The applicant must have bachelor’s degree for Master’s studies and master degree for PhD in relevant field.
• Applicant must be citizen of any of the eligible country (Among 155 countries).
• Applicant must have CGPA of 2.64/4.0 or 2.80/4.3 or 2.91/4.5 or 3.25/5. Or percentile score must be 80%.
• Applicant must have age under 40 Years.
• Applicant must have good mental and physical health.
